Insight

Okay, so here is just the beginning of Tala: Protector of all Magical Creatures. (Well... not really but it's how I'd like to start out I'm really just brainstorming).
Drip. Drop. Drip. Drop. Sniff. Groan.
Where were the noises coming from? Well, look down. Yes, way down there in the well sat a little girl. She couldn't have been more than six years old.
But why was she at the bottom of the well? How did she get there?
This is a story of Tala and her misfortunes begin here, at six years old.
Let's go back to earlier that day;
"Hey, Tala. Mommy's busy right now. Would you be a good little girl and run down to the well to fetch some water?"
Tala looked up into her mother's sparkling blue eyes and smiled, "sure ma."
So, Tala took the bucket from her mother's hand and skipped off to the well.
Tala came to a stop right in front of the well.
"You idiot! Now look what you've done! I try to get you into the highest position of the Gods, and what do you do? You make a fool of yourself. Now you are at the lowliest position. Guarding the little creatures! You are a discrace. How can you be my son?"
Tala glimpsed a translucent figure and that was enough to make her let out a loud, high pitched scream.
"Who's there?" Came a loud, booming voice.
Tala cowered back and without thinking, threw herself over the edge of the well. She landed with a splash.
Warm tears began streaming down her face.

So, how do you like it?
